Eric Treuvey, born in 1959 in the suburbs of Toulouse, France, has a degree in plastic art
parisian, moves to Bagnères in 2011. He has been drawing since he was a child, taking courses
of free expression and modelling, in search of his own pictorial language. He animates
today a creative workshop. During the summer 2016, he exhibits at Envie d'Art in Auch and in
the framework of the Piano Pic festival at the Halle aux Grains de Bagnères.
Inspired by Art Brut, Eric Treuvey's painting, half abstract, half figurative, is
singular. There were collages, cropped, recomposed, redrawn in successive layers
such as multiple layers, and real puzzles with tangled shapes, and flattened by
bright colors. Then, in this site of creative exploration, his painting, more gestural,
brings out faces with naive or violent looks, to tell new stories,
between dream and reality.
