Located on the first floor of the Annonciade chapel, the Salle du Chapitre is a square-plan room covered by a brick dome. This generates a curious acoustic phenomenon of sound propagation from one corner to the other, which you can experience for yourself.
The treasury features remarkable works from the Carolingian to the modern period: an ivory evangelist?s plate carved in the 9th century, an 11th-century Hispano-Moorish pyxis, the illuminated pontifical of Archbishop Pierre de la Jugie, the fascinating Creation tapestry (Flanders, circa 1500), and other liturgical objects testifying to the magnificence of the archbishops of Narbonne.
