LA BASTIDE SAINT LOUIS

Situated on the left bank of the Aude between the Canal du Midi and the Medieval City, the Bastide Saint Louis was built during the reign of Saint Louis in 1260 according to a quadrangular plan organized around the central square, now Place Carnot. It presents a remarkable architectural wealth, both in terms of private mansions and religious buildings.
