Located in a small square on Rue du Dolmen, this limestone monument is up to 6 m high and 3 m wide, and dates back to the Neolithic period.

Two mysterious legends surround this dolmen:

1. Pantagruel, son of Rabelais's hero Gargantua, is said to have ripped out the stone to make a table resting on four pillars.
2. Radegonde, abbess of Poitiers, is said to have carried the stone on her head and the pillars in her apron.

A fascinating site where history and folklore meet, perfect for arousing the curiosity of young and old alike.
