The aim of the exhibition is to present the work of Paul Cezanne (1839-1906) in relation to his artistic legacy, in a synthetic and unprecedented dialogue. It bears witness to the artist?s unparalleled posterity, from the time when, reclusive in Aix, some wondered whether he really existed, to the twentieth-century "Cezanne myth", as the founding father of pictorial modernity.
