Grotte de Rouffignac
À propos
The cave of Rouffignac is one of the largest decorated caves known, with eight kilometres of galleries. First frequented by the cave bear, whose griffins and nests are numerous, it was decorated about 15,000 years ago by prehistoric artists who drew or engraved 260 representations of bison, horses, ibexes and woolly rhinos, but especially 160 mammoths. An electric train allows the discovery of this site during a visit-conference.
