The stage is yours! Open Mic Blues" evening with Bleu Vernon musicians
An "Open Mic", or open stage, is a unique opportunity for discovery and expression, with many people taking to the stage for the very first time!
Whether you're a spectator or a musician (beginner or experienced), aspiring to share your voice in front of an audience, here's a convivial space where you can try out new tunes live, in solo, duo or group. The theme this time is "the devil's music", the blues.
Country blues, Chicago blues, blues rock, Gospel blues, African blues, Jazz blues? if it's blues-like or bluesy, you're welcome on our stage.
Audience: You don't have to be on stage to take part! Just come and listen, discover and support the artists for a night.
Free admission!
How to get involved
Registration is open to all, whatever your level. The idea is above all one of sharing and conviviality.
Musicians / Performers : You can perform a cover version or an original composition. An electric piano and sound system (microphones, jack inputs) will be at your disposal.
For those who'd like some musical accompaniment, the blues band Bleu Vernon will be on hand to accompany you on drums, guitar or bass. A list of blues standards will be available if you'd like to improvise with them. You could choose from a list of ten or so songs, ranging from Muddy Waters to George Thorogood to Janis Joplin.
