I dare to use watercolours
The interplay of water and pigment fascinates me: I love to watch color slip into the sinuosities of wetness or slip between pencil lines, ignoring or even overtaking them. I like to observe the fusion of ultramarine in sepia, ochre in alizarine crimson. I like to let the light in between the branches of trees, to rest it on the wing of a seagull. Water does what it wants, but I'm not impressed: I make a friend of it and we play together. My style is light, halfway between classic watercolor and travel journal, between poetry and reality
reality. Everything that vibrates appeals to me: birds in gardens and fields, forests and beaches, skies and waves, insects and squirrels, cities and strollers and even statues. My style is also dynamic, to bring out the full force of my emotions on paper, and it's a pleasure to share it through workshops and the creation of books on our beautiful regions of France.
