The Opéra Bastille, designed by architect Carlos Ott, was inaugurated on July 13, 1989 after an international competition. Its architecture is characterized by transparent facades and the use of uniform materials. With 2,700 seats, exceptional acoustics, unique stage equipment and rehearsal rooms, it is a modern theater of the first rank. Guided tours take you behind the scenes of this grandiose venue.
