La Ferme du Rail, along the Petite Ceinture, combines urban agriculture and solidarity. A prizewinner in the "Réinventer Paris" competition, it features a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, the Passage à Niveau restaurant and a wooden building for some 20 people in social reintegration. The restaurant, open to all, cooks fresh local produce from the farm, grown using permaculture and aquaponics. A fine ecological and solidarity-based initiative in the heart of the capital.
