The Coulée verte René-Dumont, formerly the Promenade Plantée, opened in 1988 by Philippe Mathieux and Jacques Vergely, follows the former Bastille-Varenne-St-Maur railroad line. From the Opéra-Bastille to the Jardin de Reuilly, via the Viaduc des Arts, the Allee Vivaldi offers shops before reaching the Porte Dorée and the Bois de Vincennes. Over 4.5 km, this varied route offers views over the 12th arrondissement, with lush vegetation and contemporary landscaping, ideal for a rewarding stroll.

Open every day. From 8am (9am on weekends) and closing between 5pm (winter) and 9.30pm (summer).
