The Coulée verte René-Dumont, formerly the Promenade Plantée, opened in 1988 by Philippe Mathieux and Jacques Vergely, follows the former Bastille-Varenne-St-Maur railroad line. From the Opéra-Bastille to the Jardin de Reuilly, via the Viaduc des Arts, the Allee Vivaldi offers shops before reaching the Porte Dorée and the Bois de Vincennes.
