Assemblée Nationale - Palais Bourbon

The National Assembly has 577 deputies and passes around a hundred laws a year. The Palais Bourbon, built in 1728, is reminiscent of the Grand Trianon at Versailles. Converted by the Prince de Condé, it became the seat of the French National Assembly in 1795. Declared a "national asset" in 1791, it now boasts a Napoleonic colonnade. In the 19th century, it was modified and today houses works of contemporary art.
