Engineering mission included in the State-Region plan contract (2007-2013), at the request of the Pas-de-Calais department
Supported by its tourism arm, ADRT62 (Agence de Développement et de Réservation Touristique, formerly CDT)
Funded by the French State and CG62, with the support of the City of Lens
Composed of 3 people:
Norbert Crozier, project manager
Myriam Marcetteau, marketing assistant
Justine Binot, assistant project manager
Objectives: Create a tourist destination linked to the arrival of the Louvre-Lens, a brand and an international label
With the UNESCO listing of the Bassin Minier in June and the opening of the Louvre-Lens in December 2012, the area will receive a massive influx of tourists (for the Louvre, between 500 and 700,000 visitors in the first year)
The Mission Louvre-Lens Tourisme will propose a concept, a strategy, a tourism organization, infrastructures and services.
