A tale of light and shadow about childhood and heritage
Being an ogre isn’t easy to begin with, so… a little ogre!
The little ogre lives alone with his mother in a house deep in a dense forest, far from the world. Everything changes when he starts going to school and interacting with humans; and he finds himself confronted with his differences…
Once he steps out of the forest, how can he fight his demons, his heritage? How can he tame his impulses, his animal nature? How can he live with frustration? How can he grow up? The lonely child embarks on a journey of initiation fraught with trials to overcome his wild instincts and become master of his own destiny. The rooster, the wolf, and the child will all be trials in their own right...
*L’ogrelet*, a musical show, full of flesh and blood, for children and adults alike!
The Le Poulailler theater company, which was hosted in an artistic residency in Picardie Verte between 2019 and 2021, is teaming up with the Les Ben’arts theater company to bring Suzanne Lebeau’s magnificent text to the stage.
