Galerie de l'Est is delighted to invite you to an exhibition like no other: POEM?s ART, when words become paintings.
Throughout the year, CM2 pupils from Compiègne?s Pierre Sauvage school have been creating paintings inspired by poems, using paint, collage, found objects and various materials. Each work becomes a way of illustrating a poem, but also of extending it in other ways: through color, form, gesture and imagination.
We look forward to welcoming you to this inventive exhibition, and to sharing a moment with you around poetry, art and children?s creativity.
The students are delighted to invite you to the opening of the exhibition POEM?s ART, when words become paintings, on Friday June 12 at 5pm.
Opening hours: Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 2pm to 6pm; Saturday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm.
On this occasion, creative workshops for children will be offered by the association LAMI - Les Amis du quartier des Minimes.
Saturday June 13, 2pm to 6pm
Promenade des Minimes
On the program: painting, sculpture, dance, poetry and figurines.
Free admission.
