Musée de la Thiérache

Housed in an authentic residence in the heart of the historic islet, characteristic of 16th and 17th-century brick architecture, the Maison du Patrimoine - Musée de la Thiérache (the only Musée de France in the central Thiérache region) comprises 4 main rooms: on the first floor, a reconstruction of a 19th-century Thiérache kitchen; on the first floor, 3 rooms devoted to "geology and archaeology", "art and history", including fortified churches; and the last room, devoted to "social and religious life" the last room is devoted to "social and religious life". The museum also has a gift store selling souvenirs and local products, and a resource center open to researchers, teachers and schoolchildren. A program of temporary exhibitions, freely accessible, punctuates the year, and guided tours of the town and/or fortified churches can be scheduled on request.
