"Elis'Astro" is an astronomy association, located in the ELISA Aerospace buildings.
To describe ourselves briefly, our main office is made up of a group of students, all equally passionate about astronomy. Everyone is welcome at our events. The aim of our student association is to share the knowledge that anyone can have in this field, in order to broaden our knowledge of astronomy!
Our activities can be summed up in 4 main points. Namely :
- night-time space observations using our 4 main telescopes (including a Celestron C8!), weather permitting (but the weather is always fine in Saint-Quentin).
- daytime observations to share our knowledge, discover new things and contemplate the sun through the many filters applied to our telescopes.
- conferences, usually once a year, with a guest astronomy specialist.
- outings, sometimes to original locations in Saint-Quentin, or to museums and observatories in the region.
You can join us on any outing for... 0 euro and whatever else you like!
