In the heart of the Aisne valley, in the village of Berny-Rivière, between Compiègne and Soissons, let yourself be seduced by the tranquility of the French countryside while enjoying modern comforts at Gîte Van G. Set down your bags in this atypical furnished accommodation of around 115m² on two levels. The accommodation is housed in a former office building dating from the late 80s, which was completely renovated and converted in 2023, giving it the feel of an architect?s house. All furnishings and fittings have been designed to ensure a pleasant stay. New materials sit side by side with contemporary furniture, family heirlooms and decorative objects picked up by your host Nicolas at the Lille flea market.
The gîte features a spacious living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a large table for sharing convivial moments and a comfortable lounge. With its two bedrooms upstairs, it can comfortably accommodate 4 people. It is ideal for a couple with children or two couples. Each bedroom has its own shower room. The second floor also features a library area with views over the valley. Facing north-south, the gîte has plenty of natural light thanks to its many bay windows. It has private parking and a 2-hectare garden on the south side.
There's no shortage of things to do in the area, from cycling along the banks of the Aisne to tree-climbing at the Parc Canopé, or discovering the river by electric boat. Every day can be a new adventure. Located close to historic sites such as Château de Coucy, Château de Pierrefonds and the majestic Retz forest, Van G is an ideal base from which to explore the rich history and natural beauty of the region.
