Established in Gérardmer in the Vosges region of France by its founder Nathan Lévy in 1888, the weaving mill was destroyed at the end of the 1939/1945 war, rebuilt and reopened shortly afterwards.
Établissements Nathan Lévy was taken over by the ELIS group in 1968. They changed their name to Le Jacquard Français.
