À propos
Until 1650, a tower stood in the middle of the courtyard, surrounded by walls destroyed by order of Louis XIII in 1636, and bordered by a moat. The fortified house was then given to Jacques Saurin, Lord of Revigny, to enjoy for life. He had the tower and the surrounding houses razed to the ground and built this building, of which only the common areas still have defensive openings. The moats were emptied of water in the 19th century, and the towers surrounding the drawbridge were knocked down.
In 1960, the Société Métallurgique de Revigny became the owner of the buildings and transformed the wings into meeting and reception rooms. In 1995, the stronghold was taken over by a new owner who turned it into a renowned hotel restaurant "Les Agapes". In 2005, a new owner turned the place into a bed and breakfast
