À propos
The buildings were once part of the Tiercelins convent, founded in 1663 by Charles de Florainville. Sold as national property during the French Revolution, the convent was purchased in 1809 by the Département de la Meuse, who transformed it first into a begging depot, then into a military hospital during the French campaign of 1815. Turned into a psychiatric hospital in 1823, it housed over 700 patients in the second half of the 19th century. Additional buildings were erected in the early 20th century, and a more modern hospital was added between 1960 and 1970. It is the department?s main specialized hospital
