L'Arbre des Pagodes de Vertus

This Sophora Japonica, which is more than 100 years old, has a very knotty trunk with a lovely bearing falling back into dense foliage. The soil is well watered thanks to the spring coming down the hill near the Saint Martin wells.

This tree, planted at the entrance to the Presbytery in the heart of historic Vertus, adjoins the Saint Martin church and is listed as a Historical Monument.
