This former rampart tower was part of the defensive line in 1360, and is one of the main remains of the city's second wall.
Restored in 1572, it features few old openings except for a gunport on the first level.
Following the First World War, the tower was severely damaged, and when it was restored it was cleared of the main surrounding buildings.
It owes its name to the stork's nest perched at the top of the roof.
The tower is now privately owned.
