Maison à colombages

The half-timbered house was occupied on the ground floor by an old shop. On the façade, a Latin inscription, dated 1362, relates the foundation of an earlier building, which was reused when the present complex was remodelled. It reads: "Anno domini MCCCLXII haec domus fundata est feria VI ante invocabit" (in the year of the Lord 1362 this house was founded on the Friday before "Invocabit", that is on Passion Sunday). The overhanging upper floor is a 17th century addition with half-timbering and carved corner posts.
