À propos
Set between the colonnades of the Place de la Bourse, this 4,677 m² (4,677 sq ft) square offers rich floral decorations and the shade of venerable trees, including a 175-year-old plane tree. With its triangular shape, this square is one of the oldest in Mulhouse. It was created during the construction of the New Quarter in 1826. At that time, the garden belonged to the owners of the buildings bordering the square; it was about one metre below street level and was surrounded by wooden palisades. It was then filled in and fenced off with a gate. In 1925, it was rented by the city for 99 years and converted into a public garden.
