📍 Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin · 10 rue André Clemessy, 68100 Mulhouse
À propos
The industrial wasteland of the Schoettlé warehouses, themselves located on the site of the spinning and weaving factory created by Captain Dreyfus' father, which became the "Cotonnière d'Alsace", has been the subject of the construction of the Cité Manifeste since 2003 and the development by the City of a public park to ventilate the new workers' quarter. The Alsatian name of this space "Baradrackgàrta" which means "garden of the licorice stick" would come from the fact that the managers of the old factory used to flavour the water drunk by their workers with licorice to stimulate them.
