Le Tigre reopened its doors in 2018, in association with the historic Tigre Bock brand. A place steeped in history, it long enlivened Strasbourg?s days and evenings, right up until the 1960s. By bringing this emblematic meeting place back to life, we wanted to contribute to the renaissance of Alsace?s heritage.
Faithful to the original spirit of the establishment, Le Tigre cultivates a mix of generations and audiences, in a variety of complementary spaces and atmospheres:
le Petit Tigre, the bar and counter
le Grand Tigre, the restaurant with its large Art Deco cupola
? the terrace and its intimate garden
? the cellar, a former brewhouse until 1920
The art of brewing is in the DNA of the place: beer was brewed here as early as 1795. Today, this tradition is back at the heart of the experience. The Fabrique Tigre Bock allows us to offer, according to the seasons and the inspiration of our master brewers, brews made on site? unique beers, to be discovered exclusively at Le Tigre.
In the kitchen, Alsace is also in the spotlight: you can enjoy a real tarte flambée cooked over a wood fire. Le Tigre is a member of the Confrérie du Véritable Flàmmeküeche.
Last but not least, most of the products served at Le Tigre are sourced from Alsace, wherever possible. In this spirit, we work with many local producers, such as Moulin Herzog, Alsace Lait and the Neuhof bee farm.
