Maison Moritz Prado vins d'Alsace

Maison Moritz Prado was born in 2018 from the meeting of Ghislain Moritz, an Alsatian winemaker, and Angela Prado, a Colombian with a passion for wine. Drawing on their experience in Burgundy, Portugal and Romania, they chose Albé, a village perched between 400 and 500 meters above sea level in the Vallée de Villé, to create their wine estate. This unique schist terroir gives the wines exceptional minerality and freshness.


The estate extends over 4.85 hectares of organically farmed vines, currently being converted to biodynamic viticulture. Environmentally-friendly practices include horse-drawn tillage, manual harvesting and the exclusive use of indigenous yeasts.


Vinification is carried out on a parcel-by-parcel basis, with ageing in stainless steel vats, oak barrels or sandstone amphorae, depending on the cuvée. The wines are unfiltered and contain no added sulfites, to preserve their authenticity. Ranges include Terroir de Roche (expressive, fresh, mineral wines), Sélections Parcellaires (cuvées made from specific plots of land, highlighting the terroir) and Nous Sommes Libres (experimental wines, with no added sulfites, for free expression of the grape).
