· Rue des quinze vingt, 10000 Troyes
À propos
Mayor of Troyes from 1522 to 1528, Claude de Marisy had it rebuilt in stone, adding an elegant Renaissance-style corner turret.
The hotel bears the family coat of arms, including that of his wife Michelle Molé, another of the town's great names.
The rue Charbonnet façade features a carriage entrance with pilasters, topped by a triple window. Spanish-style ironwork, in hammer-twisted bars, protects the bays. On the rue des Quinze-Vingts side, you can admire the wide Renaissance chimneys and the multicolored rhombuses of the glazed tile roof.
The building was restored in 1872 by architect Eugène Millet, a disciple of Viollet le Duc.
