Le Dijonval
À propos
When the Dijonval royal factory was created in 1646, Sedan, newly attached to France, became the first center for the manufacture of fine "Dutch-style" sheets. For over 300 years, Dijonval was an industrial workplace where thousands of men and women worked, making Sedan's textile industry great and famous. The buildings still standing today, more reminiscent of a palace than a factory, are a superb example of 18th-century architecture. Only the façade is visible.
