The river at Pont-l'Abbé is well worth a visit, whatever the time of day, and wherever you look from.
From the port of Pont-l'Abbé, if you follow the towpath. A loop allows you to retrace your steps through the Rosquerno woods.
From the Place de la Cale on Île-Tudy, on a terrace or just sitting on the slipway. In the evening, at sunset, is the best time.
From the tip of Île Chevalier, prefer sunrise!
From the Loctudy marina, if you take the ferry, you can cross the channel to Île-Tudy, passing close to the Perdrix lighthouse.
From the Île-Tudy or Pont-l'Abbé nautical centers, you can take a kayak up the river and connect with nature.
Or from the "maison blanche" to observe the birds that live in these unspoilt areas. Access from the Rosquerno equestrian center. During a ride with Steven, you'll learn to recognize them through binoculars and listen to their songs.
The GR34 trail takes you all the way around to Loctudy and Île-Tudy, via Pont-l'Abbé. Along the way, you'll also discover Anse du Pouldon, an oyster-farming mecca.

The woods of the Pont-l'Abbé river and the Anse du Pouldon (Natura 2000 site) are sensitive areas protected by the Conseil départemental and the Conservatoire du littoral. Dogs must be kept on a leash all year round.
