On September 19, 2010, on a beach, two demonstrations face off against each other.
Below, environmentalists denounce the green algae. Above, on the dune, farmers dispute this accusation. Between them lies an invisible boundary. They share the same backdrop, facing the ocean. They see each other, sometimes pass by, look at one another, and even end up on the wrong side. But they don’t speak to each other.

With wit and humor, an actor attempts to reenact this event—not to recreate it faithfully, but to understand what, on that day, could not be said. Drawing on archives, interviews, and documents, he brings together nineteen voices, each representing a different perspective—sometimes bordering on the absurd.

Mar%E9es seeks neither to settle the matter nor to reconcile the parties, but to lay bare a rift. An enlightening performance about the difficulty of living together when dialogue is impossible.
