Curiosity opens the door to the world – it’s anything but a bad trait! Centred on the American adventure of a young immigrant, the Haspop company weaves a generous and whirling tale at the crossroads of dance and acrobatics.
‘Has’ stands for Hassan Hajjami; ‘pop’ for the dazzling art of popping. Haspop is the name of the dynamic troupe created by this world-class urban dancer, who made a name for himself notably with Cirque du Soleil. With *Curiosité*, Hassan Hajjami takes us on the trail of another American adventure: that of the European migrants of the 1930s, caught up in the Great Depression upon their arrival. Elliott, an orphan who has just arrived at the station, is the hero of the story. Centred on this character, a troupe of eight dancers and acrobats unfolds the story of an America in turmoil through a whirlwind of techniques and sumptuous scenes: urban and acrobatic dance, hair-pulling, contortion, aerial acrobatics, pole, straps, diabolo… A show bursting with energy that is sure to delight curious audiences of all ages!
