Poucette

A sand show inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale about a tiny little girl and her extraordinary adventures.

On stage, a magical world comes to life: flowers bloom, elves take flight and marvellous characters appear. The story of Thumbelina unfolds before the audience’s eyes thanks to the unique art of live sand animation.

To the sound of classical music and the voice of a narrator, the artist creates images with sand in real time. Scenes emerge, transform and fade away to make way for the next scene in the tale. It is a captivating visual journey that enchants children and adults alike.

‘La Petite Poucette’ is a beautiful and touching story about kindness, courage and finding one’s place in the world.
