Hôtel de Rossan de Davayé

This private mansion boasts a "grand salon de musique et de danse et antichambre" (large music and dance salon and anteroom), which was fitted out during the Restoration period (1815-1830) in the Directoire-Empire-Restoration style by the owner at the time: Abel Desvignes de Davayé, a winegrower from Davayé and Mayor of Mâcon and Member of Parliament for Saône et Loire.

Abel Desvignes de Davayé was the owner of the vineyards and real estate belonging to the Desvignes de la Cerve family, in particular the Château de Rossan in Davayé.

The grand salon and its anteroom are furnished with Directoire-Empire-Restauration period furniture.

The hotel also has a number of cellars, including the old kitchen, which is currently being restored.

The tour will include the music and dance salon, its antechamber and the basement kitchen.

More broadly, the tour will also provide an insight into the history of the hotel, from its creation in 1652 to the present day, and the organisation of a private mansion.

The tour is led by the owner of the premises.
