La Ligue aux Rencontres d'Automne

The Autumn Meetings round off the town’s rich cultural season by offering residents the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise. Everyone has a subject that interests them, or even fascinates them, and in which they have genuine expertise: history, heritage, travel, science and technology, art, literature, nature, the wider world… The word ‘Rencontres’ encapsulates the town’s desire to bring residents together and give them a platform to express themselves.

As part of Pink October, the Autumn Meetings invite you to a talk on breast cancer prevention and screening, presented by Christiane Ducerf, a volunteer with the League Against Cancer.

On the programme: raising awareness of the importance of screening, a presentation on the League’s role and activities (supporting research, providing support for patients and carers, fundraising), as well as a short film from the Departmental Committee explaining how to perform a breast self-examination. The Montceau-les-Mines branch of the Ligue contre le cancer will also be present.
