La 25ème heure

Experience the 25th hour in NEVERS. On the night of 24–25 October, make the most of that extra hour!
An event taking place on the same date across all 20 member towns of the Association of Sanctuary Towns: Alençon / Albert / Ars-sur-Formans / Brive-la-Gaillarde / Cahors / Cotignac / La Salette / Lalouvesc / Le Mont-Saint-Michel / Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer / Le Puy-en-Velay / Lisieux / Lourdes / Nevers / Paray-le-Monial / Souvigny / Rocamadour / Sainte-Anne-d’Auray / Vendeville
This is how the seventh edition of the ‘25th Hour of the Sanctuary Towns’ will unfold, in the late afternoon and evening of 24 October.
In Nevers, at 3.00 pm, the Sainte Bernadette Sanctuary (mother house of the Congregation of Sainte Bernadette) and the Cap Grand Nevers tourist office will host a ‘walk of the five senses’ in the gardens of the Sainte Bernadette Sanctuary, led by the ‘Catholic Committee Against Hunger and for Development – Terre Solidaire’, followed by a tasting of the sanctuary’s herbal teas. At 8 pm, the bells of the sanctuary chapel and those of the 19 sanctuary towns will ring in unison.
The organisers will then invite the public to continue the event by heading to Saint-Cyr Sainte-Julitte Cathedral to celebrate the reopening of the building following three years of renovation work.
The event is open to all and free of charge.
