On one side is the Nivernais Canal, on the other the Canal Lateral à la Loire, and in the middle flows ... the river Aron, the Vieille Loire and its majestic Loire. Water is omnipresent and gives Decize, a rocky "island", a special situation with a unique and grandiose view of the Saint-Léger-des-Vignes dam built in 1836 to raise the level of the Loire bed and thus facilitate navigation.
