The Poligny reculée is located in the municipalities of Poligny and Vaux-sur-Poligny. It faces north-east; its length of 3 km, its width of 600 m, its almost straight morphology and its slightly marked cirques make it the smallest and simplest of the reculées in the Jura massif. It is 150 to 200 m deep and crossed by the Glantine, which meanders at altitudes of between 440 and 335 m2.
