À propos
André and his wife decided to settle in Châtillon sur Seine, a town on the borders of the Côte d'Or, Aube and Yonne, in the heart of the National Forest Park. They have completely renovated this 16th-century limestone building. This unique place, steeped in history, will give you a one-of-a-kind experience.
Town Hall, Court of First Instance during the French Revolution, prison then library, today you'll be staying in a comfortable gîte. Access is via a large courtyard (not private).
On the raised ground floor: convivial living room with open-plan kitchen and sitting area, library, board games, flat-screen TV. Separate WC. 4 double bedrooms, all with 180x200cm beds (new, high-quality bedding), one of which is on the mezzanine. 2 bathrooms. WIFI.
In fine weather, you can enjoy lunch and relax in the south-facing private courtyard, complete with garden furniture and barbecue.
If you're a lover of old stones or history, or simply curious, discover the Royal Auditorium with its old dungeons, its graffiti on wood and stone, and the prisoners' walking yard. Naturally, on request, André will give you a tour of the premises and take you through the history of this residence.
All-inclusive gîte: heating, electricity, bathroom linen, beds made on arrival and end-of-stay cleaning.
